Delaney and Sons Bar/The Hare and Hound Bar

Grellan Delaney and Sons is one of the largest, most lucrative and successful pubs and restaurants in County Laois. Situated only an hour from Dublin and two hours from Cork, the property was completely rebuilt in 1997 to the very highest specifications with a total floor area of 10,000 square feet spread over two floors.

Delaney and Sons has a long history with local sporting organisations, sponsoring the Portlaoise Rugby Club and Ladies Rugby team, Portlaoise G.A.A., Basketball teams and Portlaoise Soccer Club.

The pub also has a Golfing Society, pub cricket team and soccer team. Delaney and Sons is ideally located in the heart of Portlaoise opposite the new Laois Arts Centre and historic Court House.

Portlaoise has a wide variety of scenic attractions including Emo Court, the Rock of Dunamaise and the Slieve Bloom mountains. The pub has a great atmosphere and with its split levels, high ceilings, wrought iron gates and wooden floors, it is a very lively place.
